Sanne Timmer
Co-founder Toudou
The Netherlands has several platforms where you can book activities and experiences. But which is the best for you? This depends on what you're looking for and what kind of experiences you want.
Toudou: surprise date specialist
Toudou specializes in surprise dates. The unique aspect is that you don't know what you're going to do until you get there. The platform focuses on couples, friends, and corporate outings. The benefits: everything is pre-planned, you have no stress, and you know it will be great.
Airbnb Experiences: broad range
Airbnb Experiences offers an enormous array of activities, from cooking to art workshops to city tours. The advantage is that you know exactly what you're doing before you book. The disadvantage: you have to choose and compare a lot yourself.
Withlocals: local connection
Withlocals focuses on connecting travelers with local guides. This is ideal if you want an authentic local experience. However, you're dependent on the quality of the local guide.
Which platform for which purpose?
Want to be surprised and don't want to make decisions? Choose Toudou. Want to know exactly what you're doing? Choose Airbnb Experiences. Want a local connection? Withlocals is your platform.
